The best advantage protection against over-voltage
1. Series 1-Polymer housed metal-oxide surge arrester

4. Series 3-station class surge arresters
Operating principle
1. Metal-oxide surge arrester provides the most advanced protection against over-voltage in the world, since MOA' resistors are made up of zinc oxide films.
2. MOA has a good voltage-ampere characteristics as compared with silicone carbide arrester, its volt/ampere characteristic is much superior and results in much better performance.
3. A micro ampere level current flows while MOA is operating under normal voltage, but the amount of the current will be thousands amperes when MOA is subjected to over-voltage, because of MOA has a good non-linear characteristics, Hence MOA provide excellent protection for the HV equipment, especially the transformer, cables and switchgear.
Application
Metal-oxide surge arrester which applies to protect the power equipment link transformers against system overvoltage and lighting surges.
Service conditions
1. Ambient temperature: -40degrees to +40degrees
2. Height about sea level: <=1000m
3. Power supply frequency: 48-62Hz
4. Earthquake intensity: Not exceed richter 7.0 grade
5. Maximum wind veiocity: <=35m/s
6. The long-term power running voltage should not over the continus operating voltage
7. The altiplano or contaminated area should be indicated.
